Undiscovered and Unspoilt Salmon River
The Midfjardara river winds its way through spectacular, unspoilt scenery. This is a part of Iceland that is really very remote (even by our standards!) and there is no farming in the river valley. In 2017 three new ladders were built on this river as part of the conservation process, creating a further 9km of fly fishing which is spread over two beats and many pools.
Fishing Rules
100% Catch and Release except for one Grilse per rod per day
Maximum catch of five fish per rod per session or ten fish per rod per day
No large weighted flies or sinking lines. Very small coneheads are allowed
